Pinterest Your Friday

Wow! It has been a very long time since I have done “Pinterest Your Friday” and I kind of miss it! Even if I cannot find the time or energy to blog or go on Facebook, I will always find time to go on Pinterest (or Instagram, my new obsession). Lately, I find myself hanging out on Pinterest at 2am when not able to sleep.  can spend hours on the site and not get bored. Here are some of my pins this week:

2013 Pantone’s Color of the Year: Emerald

I love when Pantone comes out with the color for the year as well as the different colors for each season. Emerald is the popular and most daring choice this season. According to Leatrice Eiseman, the executive director of the Pantone Color Institute, green is the most abundant hue in nature. The human eye actually sees more of it than any other color in the spectrum.

I have to say I admire the boldness of emerald and although my living room is painted a soft shade of green I don’t think I would be able to have such a bold color in my house. I am more of a “alloy” kind of girl. What about you?

Home Tour: Giuliana Rancic’s LA Home

Giuliana is pretty funny on TV. I remember watching an episode a couple of year’s ago when she tried to cook…didn’t go so well. But I loved how real she was. Anyways, her and her husband bought a home in LA and I love what they have done with it. It is very neutral yet elegant and sophisticated. I wonder how clean all the white will be once the little baby becomes a toddler.

Happy New Year!

Okay, okay! I remember writing a post like this a year ago and yet it doesn’t feel that long ago. This year went by so fast for me and my family. Looking back I really wished that I had handled a few things differently but there is no point at looking back.

Also the first few months of my pregnancy were miserable as in I had to take Zofran everyday, twice, to get me through the day. Here and there I have the random “not feeling good, I need to vomit look” but for the most part I am feeling good now…well other than the no energy thing. For some reason I cannot sleep between the hours of 2am and 6am. You would think that I would be able to get things done then but have you noticed how quiet usually at night is. I can’t even get a glass of water without waking up the family. Okay, this was long!

This year I decided not to make any goals since in the end they were a glorified to-do list. I was visiting one of my favorite blogs today (I am slowly getting back into blogging and the whole blogging world) and I loved how she had used a word to define the year ahead. The word was MAKE!

To me the word MAKE made perfect sense! I know that in 2012 there were a lot of things that I wanted to get done but one of the biggest obstacles for not getting it done was me. So in the year 2013 I vow to MAKE things happen, to make mistakes!

Have you set goals for this year?
