Bye, bye, Picnik

I am sad! Over the weekend Picnik announced that they are closing on April 19th. I love their site. What am I going to do now?  I guess it’s time to brush off my Photoshop skills and start to use them again.

Picnik is so easy to use that many bloggers have been using it over the years to make prints, embellish a photo, create a collage, create cupcake toppers, watermark their photos, etc. Here is what I’ve created from there for the upcoming Valentine's day. Easy.

And because I was cleaning up my Picnik account I came upon this. Now I am craving watermelon!

Have you used Picnik before? If so what are your plans once it closes down?

Happy Monday!

  1. Alas. I mostly used Picassa until a little reality check on my last blog about how much space you really have to store photos and the like. It is amazing how quickly programs evolve. I LOVED Microsoft Digital Image Suite Pro (still use it to this day) but really, I just need to really get very comfy with Photoshop already. I can get things done in it (and prefer the results out of Photoshop) but it is SUCH a steep learning curve. Or maybe just for me...

    So long Picnik.

  2. These are super cute! I never got into Picnik, but I could see how it could have been a lot of fun. Good luck dusting off Photoshop. That is one of my most time consuming blog tasks.
