The Color Pink

Every time I think of the color pink I think of Barbie and then I think of “Pretty in Pink”. I am currently in the midst of redesigning my daughter’s room. She is 19 months and the cutest little girl.  Since she is in love with Tinker Bell my first thought was to do a fairy theme with the greens, the purples, and the blues. One day in Target I found a very pretty pale pink quilt and right then and there it was decided that my daughter’s room will be decorated in pink. I will be adding a touch of lavender to the pink.

Pink is a combination of red and white. Pink is the universal color of love. Bright pinks can stimulate energy and increase your blood pressure, heart beat and pulse rate. A softer pinks provide a calming and relaxation feeling.  An interesting fact some prisons have used deep shades of pink to decrease violence.

Here are few inspirational rooms. My favorite is the dining room table with the pink flowers on top. I love that chandelier. What is your favorite?
