Visiting Bulgaria

It is very hot today here is Orange County. When it’s hot I start to day dream about vacations close to the water, hence today we are visiting Bulgaria.

You might find me a little bias on this post. I lived in Bulgaria for the first fifteen years of my life. I visited back in 2008 and fell in-love again with the old architecture that represents most of Bulgaria. Do not be alarmed there is plenty of modern architecture in the country as well. My husband and I have been talking a about going back to Bulgaria for a very long time but we never seem to find the time. He has never been there and hopefully here is the next few years we might be able to visit.

As much as I would love to talk about Bulgarian history, I would spare you from the history lesson (you can read about it here). I would love to show you the old architecture and the Black Sea.

Here are few of my favorite spots

Of course there is always more to a country than a few photos.  Hopefully this inspired you to think about your next vacation. Do you already have one in mind?
