Down on the Farm Party

Have you heard of Jenny from Jenny Cookies? She is an amazing gal with an awesome talent for making cookies and sweets, and has a great eye for details when it comes to party planning. Once again Jenny proved that she is really good at what she does by throwing her son, Hudson, his third year old birthday party.

Here is Jenny in her own words: “We celebrated his birthday farm style, sending invites out in burlap bags, tied with red bandanas for each child to wear to the party. The barn was empty besides three picnic tables so in order to set the stage for Hudson's barn party, two giant truckloads of furniture, crates, apple baskets, wood boxes, tables, and other random things found buried in my garage were brought in. I made gigantic accordian circles to hang above the dessert table and attached a vintage milk bottle top to the center of each. The cake was set on an old pie delivery box and cookies/cupcakes/pies on vintage trays. Animal cake pops stuck out of mini bales of hay. Flowers were placed in vintage milk bottles, and all food was served in old red and white enamelware. The kids played dueling games of drop the clothespin into the bottle, raced through a corn maze, fed goats, pigs, chickens and lambs, had feather extensions added to their hair, and ended with a very competitive sack race in burlap bags. Guests were sent home with homemade strawberry-raspberry jam, goodie bags filled with farm animals and farm themed candy, baby chicks, and egg cartons filled with mini cupcakes.”
