Hello! Wow, a week goes by very quick when unintentionally I decided to take the week off. I usually try to keep my family life and this blog separate for the most part but I figured that I can share a thing or two. See, my lovely husbands work schedule has been very crazy for the past six months: first he was 10hrs a day, 6 days a week leaving the house at 4am and not coming home until 7pm (thank you OC- LA traffic) and then it turned into nights. So I have to keep quiet in our little townhome so he can get some sleep. Now the only way I know to keep quiet with a very energetic two year old is to leave the house. So I spend my time at parks, the mall, the library, Disney just to give my husband some time to rest. The other problem I am not a good sleeper when I am left alone so I usually get three to four hours of very broken sleep at night. The result a very unproductive cranky person.
Because of Thanksgiving my husband had practically the whole week off. We spent the time working on small projects around the house (nothing blog worthy), running errands, hanging out as a family by going to a Christmas tree lighting ceremony where Mickey, Minnie and Goofy were part of, lots of Disneyland visits, spending Thanksgiving with my husband’s family, doing some shopping, put up our Christmas decorations, and of course relaxing. Most importantly we took some time to reflect and be thankful for what we have in our lives.
Here are a few photos of our week:
I got up at 5am to buy poinsettias for $.99 each. How crazy is that! My excuse, I was already awake from upset stomach and the store is 1/2 mile from my house. I think that’s a great deal!
We put up a wood frame in our ugly builder’s mirror in our powder room. It is an easier and less expansive fix then getting a new mirror.
To be quite honest I have no idea how other bloggers do it. I know I have been a bad blogger on both of my blog (this one and my family one) and I have been really bad about visiting other blogs regularly as well as leaving comments (sorry!) but seriously how do you do it all? Since I am a stay at home/work from home mom, taking care of my two year old who doesn’t go to preschool yet, I have a hard time getting everything done. It seems that there are not enough hours in the day. Any tips?
So in the end I would like to say Thank you to my readers. Without you my blog, even this small, wouldn’t be here!
